All about David Stearne Pharmacies.
History
David is the second generation of his family to enter the pharmacy profession.

Prior to that, there were at least three generations of Master Coopers. The Stearne family owned their own cooperage in Ancoats, Manchester. However with the demise of wooden barrels in favour of metal ones, David’s father was advised to look elsewhere for a career.
After completing his studies and his apprenticeship, David’s father Bill, trading as T.W. Stearne Chemists Ltd, opened his first pharmacy on Chorlton Road in Hulme, during the 1950’s. David’s grandfather, Tom, by then retired, applied his woodworking skills to making the pharmacy shelves. Later in the 1960s, when much of Hulme was compulsory purchased and demolished, Bill relocated to brand new premises in Miles Platting.
Bill’s cousin Peter Dimond also entered the pharmacy profession, becoming a senior hospital pharmacist at Altrincham General Hospital.
David Stearne opened our first pharmacy in Windmill Hill, Runcorn, Cheshire on 1 July 1995. It was located in a corner of the local Nevins' Store. David later purchased a piece of the car park from the local housing association and built the existing pharmacy premises.

David has since opened another 14 pharmacies in the North West of England.
At each, David’s strong family values are reflected in the level of service and range of products available.
Each of the pharmacies holds personal consultations with its patients
